華記童鞋 - Wai Kei

記得小時候上學穿的皮鞋的鞋子常常穿破了，舅舅就會拿出鞋底膠和黑色鞋油幫我補鞋。舅舅經常跟我炫耀說在澳門很少人會補鞋，的確現在在澳門街頭都鮮有補鞋的小店。在營地大街的小新巷，有間店叫華記童鞋的店，這裡有位靦覥的吳姨姨在為客人補鞋。這間店本來是由吳姨姨的岳父經營的，一開始在造童鞋來賣，後來也幫人補鞋。她說現在會補鞋的人不多，大多都退休或過世了。自從之前的實體店鋪拆了生意已經大不如前，現在很多人都會選擇到拱北補鞋，大概是因為現在物質較以前豐富，鞋子舊了破了就扔掉了。吳姨姨笑著說她只是在這兩年繼承她先生的生意，經驗不算豐富，只是邊學著做，消磨時間。姨姨的店有七、八張椅子，她說是給老街坊路過歇歇腳和聊天的，有時候遊客累了也會坐一會兒我們在物質豐富的世代生活，一切也來得太理所當然，東西想要就買，多了就扔，那會想到浪費。 在向前奔跑的時候，別忘了去看看昨天，珍惜生命中，當下擁有的幸福。

Remember when I was a little child, my shoes were always torn while I go to schools, every time when my shoes were broken my uncle would take some outsole material and black shoe oil to help me fix them. Uncle said proudly that nowadays there are only a few people still mange this skill, and we may not find many people who master this skill anymore. At present, there is a shoes fixing tall named Wa Kei in Travessa dos Alfaiates, Rua dos Mercadores, the owner of the stall is a kind and shy aunt, Aunt Ng. Originally, the stall is used be a store and owned by Aunt Ng’s father-in-law, who not only makes shoes but also fixes shoes very well. According to Aunt Ng, many of the skilled people had already retired or passed away. After the shop was removed the bushiness is harder and harder to carry on due to the fact that people’s life is getting richer and normally people will not choose to fix their shoes anymore. However, Aunt Ng, says she would not care that whether the business is good or bad, she just wants to pass on the skill and take the job as a hobby. There are seven、eight chairs beside Aunt Ng’s stall and they are all for neighbors to sit and chat, tourists may also use them as well. As we are living in an age of plenty, everything seems to be gained too easily, every time when our things are becoming crowed, the first intention is too throw them, we will never understand what” waste” really means. When we are running to the future, let us take a glance at the past as well, cherish the live and enjoy what we have come through.
